Editorial Services

Dianna S. Leach and Gregory V. Bell are both professional editors, who will use their skills to help you communicate—to say what you want to say to your clients or readers—while retaining your voice in the communication.  Our basic editorial services include:

• Copyediting. Checking your document for content and style. We copyedit your work in a number of areas: grammar, syntax, spelling, and cross-references; usage; proper style and formatting of lists, tables, and references; and consistency, conciseness, specificity, coherency, fluency, and organization of text. For your blog or website content, we'll also review for whether they are organized in a functional manner, easy to use, and appropriately hyperlinked.
• Proofreading. Checking your document for typographical and formatting mistakes. Proofreading is often the final type of editing, focusing only on text errors.
• Substantive Editing and Critique. Evaluation and critiques of your work, including suggestions and revisions for quality.

As everyone we work with has different needs and resources, we don't have set rates for publishing here.  We will tailor the  compensation for our editorial services to the level of editorial services needed.   

For organizations, we can also help you develop a house style manual during the process of editing a work so that your own writing and that of your staff remain consistent (and require less of our services in the future).
